All digital information is protected by secure firewalls and stored in secured databases with online information exchange occurring only on encrypted Internet channels. While you are in programme, The Sanctuary Byron Bay is committed to protecting your confidentiality and privacy. Our policies and procedures comply with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (Commonwealth) and the New South Wales (NSW) Health Records and Information Privacy Act (HRIP) 2002. To further protect the confidentiality and privacy of well-known or celebrity clients, we maintain a strict policy of only providing information to 3rd parties upon your explicit instruction; not speaking to the media about our clientele; and where necessary, instating additional security measures to protect you. Moreover, our staff and contractors are also bound by strict confidentiality agreements and trained to avoid media comment.
